Loose Women star among rumoured line-up for all-female Celebrity Big Brother

No boys allowed! Well, not to begin with, anyway

It’s kicking off in a fortnight, but we still know precious little about the upcoming series of Celebrity Big Brother.

We’ve had a glimpse inside the house, and also been told that the initial entrants will all be female – but that’s about it!

The reason for the ladies-only rule (at the start of the show anyway) was explained by Channel 5 as a celebration of 100 years since women were given the right to vote.

But who are the ladies that are due to be entering the swanky new house?

Channel 5 have remained tight-lipped, but rumours about the line-up are now swirling.

One suggested candidate is TV newsreader India Willoughby – who underwent gender reassignment surgery in 2015 to transition from Jonathan Willoughby.

Tory MP Charlotte Leslie is also in the running; The 39-year-old was once named “The Sexiest MP in Parliament”, and a source told The Sun: “January’s series is all about strong, empowered women.

“Channel 5 bosses have been desperate to sign a female politician and are thrilled that they’ve managed to land Charlotte.”

Ex-Coronation Street star and former Loose Women panellist Shobna Gulati could also enter, according to some reports.

A high-profile possibility is Wayne Rooney “Party Girl” Laura Simpson, who was with Wayne the night he was arrested for drink driving.

An insider told The Sun: “She’s been offered £55k, but she’s demanding £75k. Laura has a really good job and a lot of work throughout January, so to sacrifice all of that for £55k wouldn’t be beneficial to her.”

Other rumoured entrants include Sinitta, Made in Chelsea’s Louise Thompson, Ultimo underwear supremo Lady Michelle Mone and one of the “Peru Two” Michaella McCollum, who was jailed in 2013 for drug smuggling but released last year.

According to reports, Channel 5 say they’re keeping the final line-up under wraps until the launch night, so we’ll have to wait and see who goes inside in January!
