Lisa Faulkner teases Fi Browning’s return to EastEnders

How would Max react?

EastEnders fans were sad to say goodbye to Fi Browning when she departed the soap in a cloud of shame.

The likeable character left Walford last year after helping her boyfriend Max to exact revenge on his enemies.

But, after a crisis of conscience, she left with her tail between her legs.

The decision proved to be unpopular with viewers who didn’t want her to leave.

And, now after much speculation, actress Lisa Faulker has confirmed she wants to return, too.

She told OK! magazine: “They’ve left the door open, so I can if I want to – well if they want me to!”

She explained that, after a hiatus from acting, starring in the BBC soap had awakened her passion for it.

She said: “I had the best time on EastEnders and it’s really made me think I want to act again.

“So I’m hoping to do everything, to cook, to act and to write. I really want to act again.

“EastEnders gave me that bug back, and so in the last couple of months I’ve started auditioning for things.”

Lisa, who is dating MasterChef’s John Torode, portrayed the daughter of rapist James Wilmott-Brown.

As well as helping boyfriend Max Branning get revenge on the residents of Albert Square, Fi also had her own agenda to take over The Queen Vic from Mick and Linda Carter.

However, Fi had a crisis of confidence when she discovered that her father once raped Kathy Beale, and gave Max the contract for the much loved pub, telling him he could sell it back to the Carters at the price she bought it for.

She soon left, but could she return to cause trouble for Max and his new wife Rainie?

After all, she DID make a comeback via email earlier this month…
