ITV2 unveils details of Love Island’s Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay’s spin-off show

The bromance will finally return to our screens!

Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay will soon be taking over our screens with the ultimate reality series which will see how they’ve embraced life outside of the villa and more importantly how their bromance has continued to blossom since leaving the show.

The loveable duo will star in ITV2’s two-part series Chris & Kem – Straight Outta Love Island.

Fans will get the chance to follow the stars on their musical journey as they try and become successful rappers.

Over the two episodes viewers will see country lad Chris and hairdresser Kem follow their musical dreams as they explore the world of rap, grime and hip-hop.

It’s said that the pair will hit the streets to meet the great and good of the rap music scene.

The pair have already met their idol hip-hop superstar Stormzy after the rapper took an interest in the duo when they graced our screens this summer.

Fans can also look forward to seeing Kem and Chris prepare for their first ever live performance.

But will they pull off performing to a sell-out crowd?

There will also be appearances from their Love Island partners, Olivia Attwood and Amber Davies, throughout the series.

Blonde beauty Olivia confirmed the news that her and Amber would be making the odd appearance because they are “big parts” of the boys’ lives.

She told OK! Magazine: “You will definitely see me and Amber because we’re a big part of their lives.”

Chris’ other-half continued: “We’ll be popping up at some point.”

Speaking about reuniting with his best pal on TV, Kem said: Amber aside, Chris was the best thing to come out of the Love Island villa for me.

“He’s like an actual brother, so when the opportunity came up to pick up where we left off and take our bromance to the next level it was a no brainer.”

Chris added: “Some of my best nights in the Love island villa were rapping around the fire with my boy Kem. We’re not here to take part, we’re here to takeover!”

The return of the pair’s bromance was announced earlier this month.

Love Island’s official Twitter account tweeted: “The bromance is back! You’ll be seeing Chris & Kem again soon. They’re busy grafting away on their own @itv2 show! Watch this space…”

A source told The Sun at the time: “Kem and Chris will begin filming for their brand new show this week.

“The series will be all about their bromance and what happened from the point of them leaving the villa until now.”

They continued: “It has been commissioned as a two-part series at the moment – with the thought to develop it into a longer running show.”

Love Island came to a devastating end July 24 and Kem and Amber were crowned winners with Chris and Olivia bagging third place.

But the foursome are the only islanders to stay in contact with each other, according to a source.

It’s been just five weeks since they all left the villa and it’s reported that the cast have been torn apart with some of the islanders avoiding each other at all costs.

According to The Sun, an insider revealed a post-show feud has left the islanders “hating each other”.

It was said that Chris, Olivia, Kem and Amber believed they were the “real winners” of the show and refused to speak to the others.

An insider told The Sun Online: “Everyone thinks they’re all great friends but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

“The fact of the matter is they never want to be together again and they all hate each other.”

The source continued: “Amber and Kem, and Chris and Olivia all identify as the real winners of the show, and would never mix with the likes of Mike Thalassitis, Jonny Mitchell or Chyna Ellis.

“They’ve all decided to stick together, with the lads starting filming for their reality show soon, and Olivia and Amber’s friendship continuing to blossom.”
