I’m A Celebrity stars reportedly given medical warning

There's never a dull day in the jungle!

Jungle bosses have reportedly briefed I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! campmates on how to cope with an upcoming heatwave.

According to The Sun, soaring temperatures are due to hit the Gold Coast area where the ITV show is filmed, which means the campmates will have to take extra precautions to keep themselves protected.

A source said medics have been advising stars including Becky Vardy and Amir Khan on how to stay safe.

Advice reportedly includes upping their daily water intake and ensuring they re-apply their sun lotion throughout the day.

As well as the danger of dehydration or burning, there’s also apparently a risk of increased wildlife in the area.

And we all know that basically means more snakes and mosquitoes.

Yuck.

Thankfully, if extreme weather conditions do actually hit, the camp is protected, with an ITV rep saying: “We have contingency plans in place to cover all weather eventualities.”

Of course, extreme weather conditions aren’t exactly that much of a surprise when you’re in the middle of the jungle…

Extreme heatwave warnings have been issued in previous years, while this year’s camp has already had to endure lashing rain and thunderstorms.

Luckily, Medic Bob is always on hand to keep everyone safe!

As well as removing venomous snakes and spiders from camp, the medic is responsible for the well being of the stars while they are in the jungle.

He recently gave Becky a ticking off (no pun intended) for trying to remove a tick from her back with the help of Vanessa White, saying celebs are told before they enter camp never to touch a tick.

“The secret is never touch a tick and what they did was flick it, the worst thing. Never flick a tick! That will actually aggravate that tick. Every time you touch it it will inject poison into you,” he said.

“We did get it out safely.”

He also issues advice on how regularly the stars should bathe, telling The Sun: “The biggest problem I have with people with large breast implants is that because of the humidity in the jungle, fungus grows quickly on skin.

“And with big breast implants, if they are rubbing on their chest and the women doesn’t clean under their breasts they can get a fungal disease.

“They do need to use the jungle shower a lot, I tell them to keep clean and wash every day, twice a day, and some don’t. They get lazy.”

I’m A Celebrity airs nightly on ITV.
