I’m A Celeb star ‘wants Loose Women job after jungle’

She's certainly got plenty to talk about!

Becky Vardy is reportedly hoping her I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! stint could lead to a panel job on Loose Women.

According to The Mirror, the WAG would love to increase her TV appearances post-jungle and reckons the ITV daytime show would be a perfect fit for her.

A source said: “Rebekah has been through a lot.

“With Jamie’s job, she could stay at home but she likes being independent and likes speaking her mind, so she could be a great addition to a show like Loose Women.

“And she likes the idea of doing more TV work in general.”

Becky, 35, has previously appeared on Loose Women as a guest but taking a panel role would mean a whole lot more airtime and responsibility.

She’s best known to most us as the wife of England and Leicester City footballer Jamie Vardy.

However, the star’s loved ones have lashed out at I’m A Celeb bosses for describing her as “footballer’s wife” on screen, insisting she’s more than just a WAG.

Her friends, who are running her social media accounts, said last week: “Becky’s occupation is a Full Time Mum. A woman isn’t defined by her husband’s job.”

Her rep told MailOnline last week: “Everyone’s well aware that Becky is best known for being married to Jamie, something that Becky is proud of but to call it her ‘Occupation’ is just ridiculous.”

Becky herself said in the jungle this week she thinks people associate her more with charity work these days.

She told the camp: “I’m obviously really well known for being married to Jamie, but also now people recognise me for my charity work and the kids I do work with.

“I think it’s important to become recognised for the stuff you personally do.”

Becky has also hit out at stereotypes surrounding footballers’ wives.

“The term WAG is so ridiculous. I still shop in Next, I work, I earn my own money and use it to pay for my children’s education,” she said.

“And yet, I still get called a gold digger, and told I’m only with Jamie for his money.”

If Becky does get snapped up by Loose Women, she’ll be following in the footsteps of former jungle stars Stacey Solomon and Vicky Pattison, who have both been panellists on the show.
