I’m A Celeb Jennie breaks down when she’s sent a special gift from her son

The Corrie star received her treat from home in her care package

I’m A Celebrity’s Jennie McAlpine was reduced to tears when she opened her care packing, only to find a teddy bear sent by her son, Albert.

As part of their care packages, each celebrity got a postcard with a photo and message from loved ones back home, as well as their luxury item and one food treat.

But the Corrie star couldn’t fight her emotions as she opened her package to find a teddy from her two-year-old and a note from her husband, Chris.

She read the message from her husband out… “Albert and I are missing you so much but we are having so much fun. He has also figured out the baby gate.”

Jennie also got a photo of her late dad, Tom, in her bag – which set off more emotions for the actress. “‘When I opened the package, I saw my dad straight away staring at me.’

The actress was also given a quintessentially British Tunnocks tea cake as her food treat – something that put a smile on her face.

While other campmates chose things like lipstick and fake tan as their luxury gifts, Jennie’s teddy seemed to be the one that held the most sentimental value.

Jennie gave birth to her doting son with husband Chris Farr in November 2014.

She’s made no secret about missing her little boy. She’s only been in the jungle for a few days when she took to the Bush Telegraph to share her feelings about leaving him back in the UK.

Jennie told viewers, “We’re trying not to talk about it too much, missing home and the little ones. I got a bit teary in the loo,’ she explained. ‘I was just thinking about missing home and my little boy.”
