I’m A Celeb fans brand Rebekah Vardy a “sour-faced bully” as she criticises Iain Lee on Extra Camp

They're seething

I’m A Celeb viewers have slammed WAG Rebekah Vardy for comments she made about anxiety sufferer Iain Lee on last night’s Extra Camp.

After being booted off the show, Rebekah told Joe Swash she could reveal what she really thinks about the radio host, who admitted in the jungle that he has had suicidal thoughts in the past due to depression.

She said she didn’t get on with the 44-year-old father because she thought he was “fake”.

“Honestly, he’s just fake,” she said when asked, “what is it about Iain that annoyed you?”

When Joe then pushed her on what is fake about him she replied: “I spent a lot of time with Iain and I was so careful about what I said and what I didn’t say on the VT but now I am out, I will let it all out.

“He’s got a game plan and I hate people who pretend to be something they are not.”

She added: “He’s going in there to win. He wanted to play the sympathy card and he’s very much isolating himself from the rest of the camp and then when the cameras on he’s all limelight.”

Viewers at home have already criticised Rebekah and some of the men in the camp for ostracizing Iain after he was a late addition to the camp.

They accused them of “bullying” Iain after they blamed him for “Strawberry-gate” – even though Amir Khan instigated it – and haven’t made him feel part of their “gang”.

Now viewers are livid Rebekah has not been kind to him again, especially when he has been open about his mental health struggles.

One called her a “nasty sour-faced bully” while another said they were “seething” over her behaviour.

They said the WAG’s views made her an unsuitable ambassador for the mental health charity Young Minds and called on them to rethink having her as a patron.

Rebekah, who was the third celebrity to be voted off the show last night, told Ant and Dec her time in the jungle has made her “more tolerant” – but that doesn’t seem to extend to how she feels about Iain.

While some viewers are now sad to see the back of her on the show, others were disappointed by her exit, saying she made the camp more interesting.
