How To Get Fit Fast slammed by irate viewers over ‘terrible’ breakfast suggestion

To eat or not to eat?

Furious Channel 4 viewers hit out at ‘recommendations to skip breakfast’ before fitness training in the most recent episode of How To Get Fit Fast.

Presented by Anna Richardson and motivational speaker Amar Latif, the new series looks at ways of motivating people to exercise and ensure they reach their fitness goals.

But one piece of advice in particular was met with suspicion.

Anna noted how ‘low intensity’ training suited her much more than high intensity interval training, meaning walking her rescue dog provided similar rewards to running.

“We showed how walking is as effective as running, in terms of burning calories,” she said.

“And for someone like me, who tends to skip breakfast as well, if you walk or exercise on an empty stomach, you burn twice as much fat.

“That blew my mind.”

It also blew plenty of viewers’ mind, who were not having any of the claims.

Clearly, this was a tough audience to convince that breakfast isn’t the most important meal of the day.

In fact, many were doubtful about much of what was suggested in the show, with one viewer questioning the science behind the claims.

And, similar to how we all eat toast while we’re watching Masterchef, many other viewers decided to talk it all with a pinch of salt, anyway.

Or should that be ‘a packet of salted crisps’?

Isn’t that the mindset of all elite athletes?
