Hollyoaks’ Steph Waring breaks silence on ‘secret romance’ with toyboy co-star claims

There have been rumours of a new power couple in Chester

Hollyoaks stars Steph Waring and Adam Woodward have hit back at claims they’ve been enjoying a steamy secret relationship off-camera.

While we all know soap sets can often lead to blossoming romance behind the scenes, there’s apparently no truth to recent claims linking Stephanie (Cindy Cunningham) and Adam (Brody Hudson).

The pair both took to social media over the weekend to laugh off rumours they’ve been getting hot ‘n’ heavy between takes.

Steph tweeted: “I was going to ignore this .. don’t confuse fact with fiction.. this is not true.. I am happily single!”

Adam, meanwhile, said: “Don’t believe everything you read in the press.”

The rumours came courtesy of The Sun, after a source claimed Steph and Adam had been quietly dating since the start of the year.

An insider had alleged: “They’ve been trying to keep their romance under wraps but their feelings for each other have become pretty clear to cast and crew.

“There’s an obvious attraction between them and they always seem to find time to be together during filming.

“They’re always sharing jokes and cuddling up.”

After Steph tweeted her denial, many fans joked they wouldn’t actually mind being linked with handsome Adam!

One said: “You could be linked to somebody worse. I wouldn’t say no.”

Another quipped: “Good for you! But not a bad piece of fake news to be involved in to be fair… he’s delicious!”

While Stephanie says she’s happily single, that didn’t stop her having a bit of fun with fellow Dancing On Ice star Max Evans last week!

They were seen leaving the ITV Gala together holding hands, before jumping into a rickshaw and locking lips in full view of the cameras.

A genuine blossoming romance or playing around for the paps?

Hmm… only time will tell!

Steph and rugby pro Max are both among the celebrity contestants taking part in the revamped version of ITV’s Dancing On Ice, which starts in 2018.

Also signed up are I’m A Celebrity’s Jake Quickenden, TV presenter Donna Air, Love Island’s Kem Cetinay, Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown and cricketer Monty Panesar.

Completing the celeb line-up are Good Morning Britain weatherman Alex Beresford, Corrie stars Brooke Vincent and Antony Cotton, Bucks Fizz’s Cheryl Baker and Olympian Perri Shakes-Drayton.
