Hollyoaks actress Rachel Adedeji has been keeping a big secret for months!
The 25-year-old former X Factor star has announced she’s pregnant, but she’s been hiding it using baggy clothes.
Co-star Jennifer Metcalfe, who gave birth to her first baby in June has been giving her advice on how to conceal her happy nappy news until things were a little further on.
But you can’t keep that kind of secret forever and Rachel is due on December 27 so she’s well into her pregnancy. The time has come for her to share her happy news.
She and husband Jason Finnegan got married in Buckinghamshire two years ago and the pair say they’re “overjoyed” to be starting a family.
“We can’t wait to be parents.” Rachel revealed to Closer.
The star will always be remembered for having the best name in her series of X Factor. Who can forget the way the voiceover made her sound so epic?
These days she’s best known as Chester’s Lisa Loveday and Rachel says the team at Hollyoaks have been “brilliant” at helping her to disguise her pregnancy on set.
“Lisa is a very vibrant character and doesn’t wear many clothes!
“But the team has been brilliant in allowing new clothes to fit Lisa’s personality.
“Instead of hot pants and a bra, it’s hot pants and a loose top!”
Rachel has been posting pictures on Instagram from a red hot holiday in Sardinia and she never misses a trick to show off her fashion sense.
Her wedding dress was super-stylish too. She worse a classic white lace gown with a daringly low neckline.
Rachel will be the latest Hollyoaks star to have a baby, following Jennifer and Chelsee Healey who both recently became first-time mums.
Jen welcomed her little one Daye with her partner Greg Lake in June and Chelsee Healey gave birth to little Coco in July.
Rachel said: “Jen has been amazing – I couldn’t ask for a better friend. As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I was like, ‘Jen, what do I do?!'”
“She’s an amazing mum and seeing her and Greg with Daye is just adorable.
