Viewers watched Ryan plunge to his death into a river after a brutal fight with Harry Thompson on Friday.

They fought on a riverside as Harry tried to get Ryan to turn himself in.

But as they battled Ryan’s strength overwhelmed him and as he pushed Harry away, he himself fell into the river.

Briefly managing to cling on to life, he begged Harry for help but instead he chose to walk away leaving Ryan to his death.

And while Ryan’s fate was left up in the air, Duncan has confirmed they were his final scenes.

Of course, this being Hollyoaks, Duncan could just be teasing fans in anticipation of a surprise return.

The show has frequently brought back its characters once they are presumed dead to the delight of fans.

Fellow serial killer Silas Blissett has returned previously to put an end to other serial killers like Gloved Hand Killer Lindsay Roscoe.
