Fans of EastEnders can now travel back to 1985 to when the show began, thanks to the Drama channel.
The channel has announced it will be re-running classic episodes of the popular BBC soap daily in a double lunchtime bill throughout August.
And, don’t worry if you’re at work, viewers will also be given the chance to catch up on all the comings and goings in Albert Square via the UKTV Play catch-up app. We can’t wait.

It is believed the move came after ITV3’s decision last year to start broadcasting double bills of classic Corrie, which have proved very popular with fans of the soap.
A spokesperson for the channel told the RadioTimes.com: “This summer on Drama, viewers can relive early episodes of EastEnders, including the very first one, and remember characters like Den and Angie Watts, Pauline and Arthur Fowler, Ian Beale and of course, Ethel Skinner and her dog, Willy.”

We can’t wait for the chance to reminisce over a younger looking Kathy Beale (played by Gillian Taylforth) and ask ourselves why Dot Cotton (played by June Brown) hasn’t aged a day!
And, who could forget the days when Ian Beale (played by Adam Woodyatt) and Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) were in a band called ‘The Banned’ with their pals Simon Wicks (Nick Berry) and Kelvin Carpenter (Paul J.Medford).
Although the storyline was short-lived on-screen, the band actually had a couple of hits in the UK singles chart in 1986.
But it was Queen Vic landlord Dirty Den Watts, played by Leslie Grantham who sadly died last week, and his boozy wife Angie (played by Anita Dobson) who became the stars of the show, when on Christmas Day in 1986 Den served wife Angie with divorce papers and an audience of 30 million tuned in to watch!
