Gary Windass gets violent with Pat Phelan in Coronation Street tonight

Will someone regret their rash actions when things get out of hand?

| Updated:

It all kicks off between Gary Windass and Pat Phelan in tonight’s Corrie – leaving Gary’s plan to bring down the villain in jeopardy.

In tonight’s episode, Phelan ruffles some feathers in the Street when he shows up to Luke’s funeral. Has he no shame?!

But Tim Metcalfe is already out to get him – having tried and failed to get Eileen sacked from StreetCars earlier in the week.

He tried to oust Eileen simply for being married to Pat (sounds fair enough, to us!) and was annoyed when Steve stopped him.

When he puts Phelan in his place, the brutal builder is furious and blames the whole Windass family for the bad time he’s having (erm, might actually be more to do with all those people you killed – just saying).

Out for revenge, Phelan heads to the Rovers where he starts winding Gary up by saying all sorts of sleazy things about Bethany Platt – even suggesting they go and watch her lap dancing.

As Gary tries to ignore him, Phelan steps up his horrible comments.

Unable to stop himself reacting, Gary launches himself at a grinning Pat – who’s pleased to have got Mr Windass in trouble.

But Gary is hoping for a job at the Mill site, working alongside Phelan. It’s  part of his plot with Nicola to keep tabs on the Cobbles killer.

They’ve come up with the plan in an attempt to find out what he’s hiding at the building site – the only way to get access to the Mill is by being part of the team working there, so Gary needs to keep Phelan on side.

Could his violent outburst ruin the best chance they’ve got of finding out exactly what Phelan’s been up to?

Coronation Street continues tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV
