Former EastEnders villain joins Corrie as a creepy visitor delivering a strange message!

She's about to make her mark on another soap!

Remember evil Stella Crawford in EastEnders, who abused young Ben Mitchell, married his dad Phil, then jumped to her death in her wedding dress? How could you forget, right?

Well, Sophie Thompson, who played Stella, is coming back to the world of soap – and it looks like she’ll be causing almost as much trouble as she did as Stella!

Sophie is joining Coronation Street as psychic Rosemary, who befriends Audrey Roberts and tells her she has a message from her late husband, Alf.

Convinced that Rosemary is the real deal, Audrey persuades her daughter Gail to meet her new pal, too.

But it’s not long before Rosemary is delivering some very unsettling messages to poor Gail from her many, many dead husbands.

As Michael Rodwell, Brian Tilsley and Joe McIntyre all line up to chat with their former wife, Gail’s well and truly creeped out.

But things get even worse when killer Richard Hillman pops up too!

Gail was married to Richard Hillman while he was terrorising the Street between 2001 and 2003.

He tried to kill her and her family by driving into the canal and became one of Corrie’s most legendary villains.

“Sophie is a superb actress and perfect for the role of Rosemary,” said a show spokesperson.

“We are excited she is joining the cast and working alongside Helen and Sue. Gail and Audrey are convinced she is getting messages from Alf and Gail’s husbands.

It remains to be seen if she is all she claims to be.”
