Footballers’ Wives reunion as Susie Amy’s Hollyoaks role finally revealed

Oooh, now this is exciting

| Updated:

Susie Amy’s new role in Hollyoaks has finally been revealed as she reunites with former Footballers’ Wives co-star Gary Lucy.

It was first announced in October that Susie, who played Chardonnay Lane-Pascoe in the iconic ITV drama, would be joining the Hollyoaks cast, but details of her role were sketchy.

Now we can reveal that Susie will be playing Scarlett Morgan, Luke Morgan’s estranged wife.

Gary Lucy – who plays Luke – starred as Kyle Pascoe, Susie’s on-screen husband, in Footballers’ Wives from 2002-2004.

Since Luke revealed to Darren recently that he had a secret wife, fans have been hoping that Susie would turn up as Scarlett, who Luke’s current partner, Mandy Cunningham, doesn’t know exists.

When Scarlett arrives in Hollyoaks, she’s not alone either: she brings with her Oliver, Luke’s secret son. It just keeps getting better.

Unable to cope with Luke’s drinking and fearing for the safety of Oliver, Scarlett fled from her husband eight years ago, disappearing without a trace.

As we know, Luke’s since moved back to Hollyoaks and has reunited with his first true love, Mandy, who is blissfully unaware of Luke’s wife and child.

Luke and Mandy have had a rocky relationship, also due to Luke’s alcohol problem, but they are finally back on track. And with a proposal in the not too distant future, Luke needs to find Scarlett and divorce her before he becomes a bigamist.

Hollyoaks are keeping how Scarlett and Oliver arrive in the village top secret, but will Luke be able to keep them hidden from Mandy? Or will this be the final nail in the coffin for their relationship?

A source told the Mirror back in October: “Getting these two back together is a result for Hollyoaks. It’s a short-term contract but the door is very much open for a return if the fans like what they see.”

We’re pretty confident they will.

Scarlett and Oliver will be on screen from January.
