Is anyone actually watching soaps for the sake of dramatic entertainment anymore – or merely to point out flaws to post on Twitter?
It certainly seems to be the latter some nights – and the error detectives were out in force during tonight’s episode of Easties.
Karen Taylor was excitedly tidying – hiding stuff under cushions – in anticipation of a visit from Keanu’s new girlfriend, Swedish au pair Ingrid.

When her buzzer rang, she declared “Taylor Towers” and pressed to let her in.
But ‘she’ turned out to be two burly fellas, dressed in cheap black leather jackets: loan sharks.
Now, there’s no problem believing that Karen is up to her ears in debt, or that she might have people demanding money knocking at her door.
It wouldn’t be the first time since she’d been in Walford, in fact.
But some viewers took issue with their portrayal on the soap which, they reckoned, didn’t follow due process…

But on this occasion, viewers were getting their knickers needlessly in a twist. As Karen had borrowed money from a loan shark, these weren’t official court enforcers… and wouldn’t be minding their p’s and q’s… or dotting their i’s.
Time to pay a bit more attention to Can’t Pay? Well Take It Away, guys!
