Cain Dingle is going to attack Moira Barton’s son Matty in Emmerdale after a horrific case of mistaken identity.
Previously known as Hannah Barton, Matty will return to the farm on Monday night’s episode to retrieve his birth certificate.
But when he’s caught by Cain, there’s a vicious struggle when the hardpan jumps to the wrong conclusion.
With Cain not recognising who Matty is, he demands to know who he is and what he’s doing.
And when he assumes that Matty was sent by Simon the drug dealer for revenge the pair clash.

Matty is pushed into a table and bangs his head.
Knocked unconscious, Matty is left helpless with a furious Cain and even Faith arriving won’t help him.
“Clever thing would be to call the cops,” says Faith as she walks into the room.
But Cain refuses and tells his mother to leave.
He then stares menacingly at the unconscious Matty as he prepares to take revenge on who he thinks is a threat to his family.
Spoilers have revealed that Moira won’t have the best reaction when she discovers Matty has returned.

After a year of tragedy she is going to be devastated to learn that her child lived just hours away in Manchester in order to transition.
Matty is now played by actor Ash Palmisciano and is the soap’s first ever transgender character.
But will Moira be able to accept her son for who he is?
