It’s the biggest mystery in Emmerdale right now… Where is Amelia Spencer and who is she with?
The schoolgirl vanished just hours after discovering that her ‘uncle’ Daz is, in fact, her biological dad.
But did she run away, or was she abducted?

After the family reported Amelia missing, the police investigation discovered that the young girl is still alive.
CCTV footage from a nearby shopping centre showed her walking alongside a ‘mystery’ woman in a hoodie.
And the cops believe Amelia is most likely with someone she knows – with suspicion falling on biological dad Daz.
But could he REALLY be behind it all?

THEORY 1: Daz Spencer is guilty
Many viewers believe Amelia’s biological dad organised the abduction.
Police discovered that Amelia has been emailing an account connected to Daz – but is someone setting him up, or has he organised everything to look like a hero?
He’s certainly been acting shady… Could he miraculously ‘save the day’ by finding her?
Or is it simply about getting a ransom, like some fans believe?

Theory 2: It’s Dan Spencer
Is Dan framing Daz to discredit him? The brothers do NOT get on – and the situation has only worsened ever since the truth about Amelia’s paternity came out.
Could the sickening news have driven Dan to drastic behaviour?
Dan’s laid-back attitude to Amelia’s disappearance at the beginning might make sense if he had engineered it? Wouldn’t most dad’s be frantic with worry?

Theory 3: Someone else wants revenge on Daz
Some Emmerdale aficionados believe it’s someone from Daz’s past who is trying to set him up.
He was in the army and has been in trouble with the law, so it’s not unrealistic to think he has enemies.
Perhaps this is Emmerdale’s way of exploring Daz’s life before the village…

Theory 4: Leanna Cavanagh is involved
This has legs, mainly because she comes across as spiteful.
The daughter of local doctor Liam made a fair few enemies this week when she made a distasteful joke about Amelia returning “in a coffin”.
Viewers then saw her making a secret phone call claiming she had information and demanding a cash reward in return.
But is Leanne capable of kidnap? Or did the two girls cook the plan up together to give the grown-ups a fright?

Theory 5: Amelia is in real danger from online groomers
While most Emmerdale fans believe Amelia isn’t in real danger, there’s a possibility that she really has been taken by online groomers.
After all, local copper DCI Bails appears respectable but is, in fact, guilty of grooming and rape.
Could Emmerdale scriptwriters have chosen this dark path?

Theory 6: She’s with her brother
Could Amelia be with her older bro Sean?
While he hasn’t been seen onscreen since 2014, Sean was mentioned recently when the Spencers called him about Amelia’s disappearance.
He told them he hadn’t seen her, but he could have been lying.
One viewers thinks Sean’s involved, writing: “It might sound crazy but I did actually think the ‘woman’ on the cctv footage looked like Amelia’s brother Sean. Same kinda clothes, body language, posture etc. Whoever it was she looked at ease wiv them. Sean also joined the army so cud hav access to Daz’s army info/name.”

Amelia has been missing since Friday 1 June and police are now treating her disappearance as an abduction.
Cast have promised that the storyline gets very dark in the coming weeks…
