Emmerdale SPOILER: Vanessa propositions a male villager to prove she’s straight

What could possibly go wrong?

Vanessa Woodfield gets herself into a right dilly of a pickle in Emmerdale next week, following her night of passion with Charity Dingle. Confused and ashamed, she turns her attentions on another villager in an attempt to prove she’s straight.

The vet is struggling with her emotions after sleeping with Charity and wants to keep their night together a secret. But, this is Emmerdale after all, Paddy Kirk catches her trying to sneak out of the Woolpack.

Meanwhile, Charity – who is no stranger to having the er, ins and outs, of her sex life discussed – find it hilarious that Vanessa is going to such lengths to keep their encounter a secret.

Rhona Goskirk tries to comfort her friend, who’s struggling both with her sexuality and being the subject of the village gossips, but Vanessa decides to prove to everyone that she’s not gay – so she propositions Daz.

Which is obviously a great plan. Not.

Michelle Hardwick, who plays the confused vet, told Soaplife magazine, the reasoning behind her date with Daz.

She said: “Vanessa is confused about her sexuality.

“Daz appears and she is like ‘Let’s go for drinks tonight!’ But they end up in the pub, where Charity has more fun with her in front of everyone!”

Michelle revealed that Charity finds Vanessa rocking up at the Woolie with her male companion hilarious – and tells the whole pub about their romps.

She added: “Vanessa doesn’t want to meet at the pub as Charity is there, so she arranges to meet Daz at the shop. However, he wants to go to the pub.

“Vanessa is done up like Bonnie Tyler with this big hair and little leather skirt.

“They go to the pub and Frank walks in with Megan, Paddy is there, too and Charity goes for the kill and tells everyone what happened between them.”

Michelle also told the mag that, despite trying to make things happen with Daz, she can’t keep away from Charity.

She said: “It does continue for a bit and Vanessa is quite feisty – she could be the person to put Charity in her place.”
