Emmerdale SPOILER: Ross makes Ryan an unmissable offer

What would Charity say?

Emmerdale newcomer Ryan stocks makes an unlikely friend in Ross Barton next week after the pair meet in the Woolpack.

Ryan is back in the Dales after his birth mum Charity pleads with his adopted mum Irene to have another chance at building a relationship with her son after blowing it last time.

And while their meeting goes well at first, it soon turns sour when Ryan discovers that Charity still hasn’t told the rest of the Dingles about him.

Meanwhile Ross is also in the pub and spots Ryan staring at him. Assuming it’s because of the scars he has thanks to a vicious acid attack earlier this year, the mechanic confronts Ryan.

But as Ryan tells Ross some home truths, instead of being annoyed, Ross is actually amused by Ryan’s bluntness and invites him back to his for a drink.

The men end up bonding over their differences and Ross offers to set Ryan up, pleased to be able to help his new friend.

Unfortunately Ross ends up making a awkward decision which then leaves Charity in a sticky situation.

Will the Woolpack landlady be forced to reveal all about her secret son to the rest of the village?

Ryan was introduced to viewers last month when Charity finally came face to face with him, 28 years after giving birth to him and believing he had died.

Charity was only 14 when she fell pregnant with Ryan, the result of being repeatedly raped by evil police office DI Mark Bails.

In a flashback episode fans saw her confess to Vanessa that she was terrified of having the baby and deliberately drank litres of vodka to try to force a miscarriage.

She finally managed to escape from Bails’ evil clutches and gave birth to a baby boy in hospital, but was horrified when the baby didn’t cry and was rushed away from her.

Teenage Charity then tried to find her son, only to see the baby flat-lining.

Horrified that her son had died because of her actions during pregnancy, she fled the hospital before she could learn that doctors had been able to revive him.
