As if the Barton family haven’t been through enough in the past week, surviving brothers Ross and Pete are set to get another massive blow next week.
They’re trying to deal with the fact their brother Finn is dead, and their mum, Emma, apparently took her own life by jumping off a viaduct.
But the police are set to visit and inform Ross that they’ve found evidence it was Emma who shot Finn, not Adam Barton as they at first believed.

Emma snatched the gun off Adam, who was chasing her with it after the confrontation between Emma and his mum Moira in the blazing barn.
She didn’t mean to shoot Finn, and the cops had initially arrested Adam, but after realising it was Emma, all the charges against Adam are dropped.
Ross and Pete are already arguing over their shared grief, and Pete isn’t happy that Ross is trying to take over the funeral arrangements for Finn.
So when Ross heads to the Woolpack to break the news it was their mother who killed their brother – as well as their father, James, exactly a year before, Pete lashes out at his sibling.
Tensions are only calmed when the police drop off a bag of Finn’s belongings, but Pete is still after answers.
And it turns out the cops are watching the Barton boys – why are they following them? What do Ross and Pete know?
Could it be something to do with the fact Ross was at the scene when Emma went off the viaduct.
Although it looked like she had taken her own life, in fact eagle-eyed viewers spotted that she was facing the wrong way when she fell.
Ross saw her body lying on the ground, but did nothing to help her – was he the one who pushed her? Or is it Pete who’s hiding something?

Pete’s also set for another shock next week when he discovers he’s not the father of Moira’s baby after all.
When she admits she can’t be sure the boy is his, he demands a paternity test and the results reveal Cain is the actual daddy.
It’s not going well for Pete, can he hold it together?
