To begin with, the week starts off with it looking extremely unlikely that the pair will make it up the aisle at all, with both parties considering jilting the other. Would that be a soap first?
Leyla’s worried that the wedding won’t live up to her expectations and confides in Priya Sharma that she thinks Pete might be hung up on another woman.Yes, irony.
But, luckily for Priya, Leyla doesn’t suspect anything about her maid of (dis)honour’s fling with Pete, Leyla thinks he’s still infatuated with his Auntie Moira.
Elsewhere, Sarah Sugden is still extorting money from Pete over his and Priya’s fling and Adam Barton spots a questionable exchange between the pair.
Leyla’s still having jitters of her own, but manages to put them to one side for her hen night.
On the day of the actual wedding, Pete is still considering calling the whole thing off, while Priya helps a less than enthused Leyla get ready.
It’s really not looking like a Happy Ever After to us. Pete’s probably remembering his last wedding where Debbie Dingle and his brother Ross’ affair was revealed.
