Emmerdale SPOILER: Horror for Debbie Dingle as Joe Tate discovers the truth about Ross Barton’s acid attack

What will he do?

Joseph Tate is left reeling in Emmerdale next week when drug dealer Simon reveals it was him who threw the acid into Ross Barton’s face.

He’s even more shocked when Simon tells him that he was the intended target, not Ross Barton, and that his ex lover Debbie Dingle paid Simon to attack him.

Joe is stunned that Debbie could stoop that low and is left wondering what else she could have planned for him.

He confronts her over the attack, but what will she have to say for herself?

Debbie has been hell bent on getting revenge on Joe since he humiliated her in front of the whole village as part of revenge plan for Charity Dingle, Debs’ mum.

Joe – or Tom Waterhouse as she knew him – had spent months wooing Debbie and throwing money at her, even buying Jacob’s Fold for her and her kids to live in.

But he was unmasked as Joe when Charity broke into his offices and found his passport.

Charity had been married to Joe’s dad Chris when he died, and Joe has always blamed his former step-mum for his dad’s death.

As well as humiliating Debbie, Joe bulldozed down part of Wishing Well Cottage which is the Dingle family home.

He very nearly killed Samson and his own half-brother Noah in the process.

But now Joe knows exactly what lengths Debbie is prepared to go to to get revenge, what will he do?

Will he tell the police?

Or, potentially even worse, tell Ross that his ex-girlfriend was behind the brutal attack that has left him with lifelong facial scarring?

We wouldn’t want to be in Debbie’s shoes, that’s for sure.
