Emmerdale SPOILER: Graham Foster’s mysterious past finally revealed

And it's not good news

Emmerdale fans have been captivated by Graham Foster from the moment he rocked up in the Dales alongside Tom Waterhouse (who we all now now as Joseph Tate).

And while there has been much speculation about who he is, where he’s come from and whether he can be trusted, little has been revealed.

That’s until now!

Next week, he will give Debbie Dingle – and viewers – an insight into Graham’s past.

Debbie is obviously distraught having to pretend to be back in love with Joe, but Graham tries to reassure her that the overgrown rich kid isn’t playing games.

(Er… Joe Tate who pretended to be someone else and destroyed Debbie just to get revenge on Charity? Not playing games?!!! O-kayyyy.)

Anyway, Graham then reveals a little nugget about his life before being Joe’s trusty sidekick.

As he suggests Debbie take up Joe’s offer to rent the Jacob’s Fold property, Graham reveals that he worked at a school that Joe attended and then opens up about some details from his past – we are not being intentionally vague here, Emmerdale is holding back for the episode!

Andrew Scraborough, who plays the adored character, has confirmed that it is tragic stuff, though.

He told Metro.co.uk: “It certainly makes Debbie think. Graham’s past is a tragic one – this is a man who is carrying around a lot.”

The actor also revealed that he confides in Debbie because he recognises she too has had a tough upbringing (another clue!).

He confirms that his character is full of good intention, adding: “Joe has told Graham to try and win Debbie round again as he seems to genuinely love her and I think Graham is a sucker underneath all that hard exterior.

“What he is like himself again remains to unfold but he likes to see good things because he’s seen a lot of bad things.”

Bad things? A lot of? We are even more intrigued now!
