When Chas decided she wanted to abort her unborn baby, poor Paddy was left heartbroken.

But his whole life is about to be turned upside down she she reveals she’s had a sudden change of heart… but how will he feel about this total U-turn?

In scenes to be shown in next week’s Emmerdale, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) decides she wants to keep the baby after all. And breaks the news to a surprised Paddy (Dominic Brunt).

Landlady Chas was surprised to discover she was pregnant after forgetting to get her contraceptive injection.

But instead of being thrilled by the news, she decided she wasn’t in the right pace to have another baby and decided to have a termination…

Recently, Chas revealed the real reasons she didn’t want to have another baby – blaming herself for the sexual abuse her son Aaron suffered as a child at the hands of his father Gordon Livesy.

Boyfriend Paddy pleaded with her to keep the baby, believing it to be his last chance of having his own biological child.

However, all his protestations fell on deaf ears – until next week when Chas has a sudden change of heart. But is it too late?

Paddy doesn’t have any children of his own – yet – although he has bought up his ex-wife Rhona Goskirk’s son Leo.

Will Paddy get to be a real daddy at last?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
