Emmerdale’s Ross Barton acid attack leads to Cain’s revenge plot

Who's next in the firing line?

Emmerdale viewers watched in horror last night as Ross Barton was attacked and had acid thrown over him – leaving him howling in agony and horribly disfigured.

And now it’s been revealed that the soap could be about to get even darker with a revenge killing planned in the wake of the terrible acid attack.

Cain roped drug-dealer Simon into Debbie plan to get her own back on Joe Tate. They planned to plant cocaine on Joe, and then call the police.

But things went wrong when Graham caught Simon red-handed and stopped the plan (seriously, can Graham get any sexier?!).

Without Cain knowing, Debbie asked Simon to “mess Joe up” instead. She even said: “Make sure you wipe that smile off his face.”

Simon took Debbie literally and went off to hunt down Joe. But he mistook him for Ross Barton. So it was poor Ross who took the brunt of his evil acid attack.

Fans were appalled by the horrible scenes as Ross writhed in agony.

But things are going to get even more graphic as Cain plans to get his own back on Simon.

He’s definitely got the motive!
