Emmerdale legend teases EPIC showdown between Charity Dingle and Kim Tate

Now that is one cat-fight we couldn't call

Emmerdale legend Claire King – AKA Kim Tate – has teased that she thinks her mega-bitch character would be a real match for Charity Dingle if she were ever to return.

Speaking to OK! Online, Claire revealed: “Out of all the women to come and go in Emmerdale, Charity’s the one I would say that comes closest to emulate Kim, but she is not on Kim’s level.

“They have a lot in common, but Kim is Kim. There’s been so many women making glamorous arrivals in helicopters: Sadie King, Rebecca White – it all stems from Kim.

“She may not be around anymore but her influence is still felt. So she can handle Charity no problem!”

Kim Tate was lady of the manor at Home Farm during the 90s, keeping the viewers enthralled with her antics from saucy affairs to leaving hubby Frank – Joseph Tate’s grandad – to die at her feet before stepping over his body and heading off into the sunset.

Since Joseph (Ned Porteous) arrived in the village, bringing the Tate name back to Home Farm, there has been a lot of speculation amongst fans over what other Tates could be popping back up soon.

Fans took to Twitter to beg for Kim’s return.

“I reckon we’ll be seeing Kim Tate back at Home Farm soon,” said one fan.

“Excited about the prospect of the Tates reclaiming their ancestral home at Home Farm,” wrote another. “All I want is for Claire King to come back as Kim Tate.”

Claire King, who played Kim and who was recently seen in Corrie, was tagged in lots of the viewers’ pleas but though she liked the comments, she has remained frustratingly quiet about whether she has any plans to return.

Though back in the summer she told Loose Women, that the door was still open.

“Never say never,” she said then.

An Emmerdale spokesperson told ED!: “Kim Tate is still at large.”
