Harriet Finch considers leaving Emmerdale after heartbreak over Cain and Moira’s baby

The announcement comes as a shock to one person in particular

It was never going to be easy getting involved in a relationship with Cain Dingle with his ex-wife, who he clearly still has feelings for, living in the same village.

And now Harriet Finch has found herself heartbroken after discovering Cain fathered Moira’s new baby, Isaac.

In order to have a clean break, Harriet decides next week that she might leave the Dales.

It’s been a hard time for the vicar as she decided to let Cain go when the DNA results proved he was Isaac’s daddy and not Pete Barton as Moira had originally claimed.

After a heart-to-heart in the church, Harriet told Cain that although she loved him, she was setting him free, knowing that his heart belongs to Moira and their newborn son.

But Harriet can’t switch off her feelings for Cain just like that and she is struggling seeing him every day around the village.

So when she pays Ross Barton a visit at the garage, she reveals to him she’s thinking of moving to take up a new post in Oxford.

Cain’s listening in to the conversation and is stunned by what he’s hearing. He’s determined to persuade her to stay, but before he can open his mouth, the police arrive.

Talk about bad timing!

The cops are there to inspect the wheels of cars in connection to their investigation into Emma’s murder – what possible clues could they find there? Are Cain and Ross the prime suspects now then?

Later on, Cain finally gets his chance to talk to Harriet. He tells her that he doesn’t want her to go.

As he pulls her in for a passionate kiss, will she kiss him back? Isn’t it a bit too obvious she’s his second choice?

Cain’s been trying to be there for Moira, even paying her a visit, but it’s clear she’s not interested in his help or a reconciliation.

But does that mean he’s settling for Harriet as second best? And will the feisty female really put up with being that?

Will she decide to move anyway, ready for a fresh start away from the village and all it’s drama?

Now, where would be the fun in that?
