Emmerdale fave makes a scandalous return

Things are hotting up in the Dales

Chas Dingle makes her long-awaited return to Emmerdale next week (YAY) and she’s already set her sights on romancing a fellow villager – and it’s none other than her ex, Paddy Kirk.

As we know Chaddy has never quite worked out before – there was always something in the way. Something like Chas sleeping with Carl King, so why would this time be any different?

Chas has been in Ireland for the past six months, looking after Liv’s mum Sandra who’d had an accident. Has her time away from the village made her see what’s really important to her?

She returns just after Paddy has a huge bust-up with Marlon Dingle, who tells his mate to pack his bags and move out.

Even though they’re at each other’s throats, the boys are both actually a bit gutted that Paddy’s leaving so soon, forcing Marlon’s daughter, April, to step in and play peacemaker.

Paddy and Marlon kiss and make-up, then they promise to never let a woman come between them again.

Enter Chas, who basically throws herself at Paddy.

After spending the night together, Paddy and Chas seem pretty loved up.  But will that still be the case when Pads discovers she had a relationship in Ireland?

Emmerdale exec producer, Iain McLeod, recently spoke to TV Times about Paddy’s romance-situation.

He said: “At the point where Chas returns, it seems that Rhona is not an option.

“So the story then becomes: ‘How do you pursue a new relationship when the woman you thought you’d spend the rest of your life with lives up the road and runs a business with you?’

“You’ll just have to wait and see how this love story involving these three characters pans out.”

Is that the thinly-veiled promise of a Paddy/Chas/ Rhona love triangle we hear?
