ITV viewers were left scratching their heads last night (Wednesday 2 May) when they spotted an inconsistency in an Emmerdale storyline.
In tense scenes set in The Woolpack, Tracy Metcalfe GUESSED that her possible future mother-in-law Megan Macey had slept with Graham Foster – and Megan was mortified as she was forced to admit the truth.
But hang on, isn’t this the same Tracy who failed to notice her own husband David had cheated on her with Leyla Harding?
Fans saw Megan accept Frank’s proposal, wracked with guilt that she had slept with Graham the night before…
And when Graham walked into the pub where Frank and Megan were celebrating, he composed himself and congratulated the couple – clearly fighting his strong feelings for Megan.

In a moment of female solidarity – in a toilet, where else? – Megan applied her lipstick as Tracy chatted innocently about Graham and speculated about what he’d be like in bed, giggling: “Bet he’s a devil in bed. Dead hot, but considerate. Them eyes… I would.”
As Megan squirmed and denied finding Graham attractive, Tracy somehow made the leap and confronted Megan with the truth: “Hang on, has something gone on between you two?”

Although Megan insisted it wasn’t true, Tracy became convinced, saying: “Your eyes went to the left. That means you’re lying.”

As the sordid truth tumbled out, fans called out Emmerdale scriptwriters for making Tracy so intuitive!
One Twitter user wrote: “Since when is Tracy that clever. David cheated and she knew nothing but Megan looks to the left and boom… she slept with Graham?”

Another agreed, adding: “Tracy, love, how were you able to figure out Frank and Megan’s infidelities but not your own husbands?”
A third blasted: “Oh come on Tracy the next miss Marple. Not even in a candyland world would that happen.”
Others criticised Tracy for being a hypocrite, accusing her of hiding a few secrets herself in the past…
After threatening to expose Megan’s infidelity, Tracy later changed her mind.
And, in a surprising twist, she agreed to keep Megan’s secret, knowing that her dad would be devastated if he found out and declaring that “he deserved to be happy”.
But is the secret really safe with Tracy? And can Megan keep her promise not to go near Graham again?
