David Metcalfe confessed the reason for his shift behaviour in last night’s Emmerdale – and the fans are NOT happy about it.
David had been acting more than a little bit strangely since he returned from a retail convention on Thursday. But last night he admitted to ex Priya that he’d not been at a convention at all.
“I went to Mykonos,” he told her, adding that he had to “sort things out” with Leyla.
Priya wasn’t impressed as David continued, explaining that the night before Leyla had left for her new life in Greece, something had happened.
“Me and her,” he muttered. “Ended up in bed together.”
He slept with Leyla! How could he?!

David’s known for having a ‘colourful’ love life, but fans were loving him having settled down with new wife Tracy.
So they were NOT amused to hear his confession. Viewers took to social media to vent their feelings about David cheating.
“Tracy was the best thing ever to happen to David,” one fan wrote. “No way back.”
Another simply said: “I hate him now.”
Other fans slammed the show itself for giving us another cheating storyline.

“It’s lazy and downright stupid,” one cross viewer wrote. “Even making allowances that this is a soap, it’s ludicrous.”
Another wailed: “I can’t believe you’ve done this!!” while another annoyed fan wrote: “Can’t believe you’ve ruined another perfectly happy couple.”
We’re still hoping for a twist that will keep Tracy and David together – but it’s looking pretty unlikely, we have to admit!
