Faith Dingle has been making it her mission to reunite her son Cain, with his ex, Moira Barton, since baby Isaac arrived last month.
But while Moira has poured cold water on Faith’s plans, Emmerdale’s executive producer, Iain McLeod, has given all Coira fans hope of a reconciliation, saying that the two characters belong together.

He also said that Cain and Moira know they belong with each other – deep deep down.
But with Cain still involved with Harriet Finch, and Moira adamant that she doesn’t need Cain in her life, we just can’t see it happening any time soon.
But what do we know?
Speaking to TV Times, Iain said: “There’s always hope for Coira! I believe they’re meant to be together and deep down, so do the characters but a lot of water is under the bridge.
“If Cain is trying to move on with Harriet, having a kid with the love of his life will make it massively complicated.
“Baby Isaac and what he represents comes to be a real problem for Harriet in terms of Cain’s divided loyalties.”
Next week’s Emmerdale sees Moira display some worrying behaviour at Isaac’s christening, leaving Cain worried that she isn’t coping with becoming a mum again.
Moira gave birth to Isaac in October – but hadn’t even realised she was pregnant.
Since then she’s worried about how her lifestyle while she was pregnant affected the tot, becoming convinced that she’d damaged him in some way because she drank.
Last month she left the newborn at the hospital, believing he was better off there than with her.
Iain previously spoke about Cain and Moira reuniting, saying that it’s what the fans want.
Again, speaking to TV Times, he said: “I love Moira and I think she deserves to be at the centre of the show. And she certainly will be, heading into 2018.
If we had taken a straw poll about six months ago, I’d say that about 90 per cent of our viewers would have been desperate for Cain and Moira to get back together.

“I think that number has been reduced somewhat since then, by the fact people seem to really like Cain and Harriet as a couple – but even so, I think fans believe Cain and Moira are the ones that are meant to be together.
“However, the question will be, is their relationship damaged beyond repair?”
