Stuart Highway has been injured on-set and off, the actor who plays him has revealed.
While the manipulative bully was left for dead during dramatic scenes this week, actor Ricky Champ has been hurt in real life after filming his character’s violent behaviour.
Perhaps EastEnders should invest in a stunt double for him?

After a heated confrontation between Mick Carter and his old ‘friend’ over Tina, Stuart took his anger out on his belongings.
Viewers watched uncomfortable scenes in which Stuart threw a table in the air, and smashed a framed photograph.
He also scratched out Mick’s face from an old picture of the pair in their youth, stabbing a sharp knife into his friend’s face. Yikes.

And now actor Ricky has admitted he genuinely hurt himself filming these scenes.
He told his 5,527 Twitter followers: “Fractured my metatarsal in my foot shooting this scene. #dedication #EastEnders.”
And fans were quick to send their regards, even if some were backhanded compliments like: “You are a brilliant! I love the mad eyes.”
Another replied: “I bet it was ace smashing it all up though!!!! Lol Stuart is one crazy crazy man!!!!! You’re doing a fantastic job Ricky!!”

He received more praise from another fan, who responded: “Blimey….I’m not surprised though! You didn’t half go for it. Kinda have a soft spot for Stuart.”
“Brilliant acting! Really enjoying your character, even if he is incredibly creepy!” said another.
Another admirer stated: “Literally was on the edge of my seat you are such an amazing actor Ricky x.”
Awww, he was feeling the love – even if his character is the scariest guy in Walford!
On Tuesday night (24 July), soap fans were shocked when Stuart pushed Tina to the edge.
After goading her into a corner, she lashed out at him with a wrench and knocked him to the ground.
The last we saw of Stuart, he was a lifeless lump on the floor of The Arches…
So we can safely say it’s been an eventful week for the character and actor!
