Stuart’s blunder in EastEnders may ruin a man’s life forever

Has Walford's new villain got the wrong man?

Last night’s trip to Albert Square saw a huge blunder by Stuart potentially leaving one man’s life ruined forever.

Last week viewers saw Fred, the man who Stuart has been watching for weeks as part of his job to track down dangerous paedophiles, escape the sting thanks to Halfway and Mick’s botched job.

Mick wasn’t happy about the fact Stuart was still going after Fred last night, convinced that something wasn’t right and that they didn’t have all their facts straight.

But while Mick was adamant that Fred could be innocent, Stuart was like a dog with a bone and wouldn’t let things go.

Unfortunately for Fred, Stuart managed to catch up with him and confront him on camera, despite Mick’s growing unease.

But instead of getting a chance to prove his potential innocence, Stuart cut Fred off every time he tried to speak, leaving him unable to explain why he was talking to young girls online.

Stuart then showed Mick the video, but yet again Mick’s protests fell on deaf ears.

Instead of listening to Mick’s sound advice, Stuart uploaded the video of him confronting Fred online, forever labelling him as a sexual predator.

But has Stuart just completed another successful sting, or has he just framed an innocent man?

If he has got the wrong guy, where does this leave Fred’s future?

And what will happen to Stuart, who could be accused of using violence to get his video footage?

EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
