Mel Owen considers leaving EastEnders after E20 nightclub theft revelation

She can't deal with the aftermath...

Mel Owen packs her bags to leave Albert Square, when she discovers who really robbed E20 nightclub.

The blonde bombshell (played by Tamzin Outhwaite) only recently returned to Walford after an absence of 16 years.

But she is already planning to leave again in EastEnders scenes due to air next week.

The mystery of the missing money stolen from the E20 safe continues as everyone tries to work out who took the cash.

As Sharon and Phil hold a staff meeting at the club, they point out it was Mel’s responsibility to make sure the venue was locked at the end of the night.

But while Mel is adamant that she isn’t the one responsible for the missing money, Phil gives her until the end of the week to start paying back the £15,000 that was stolen.

Mel eventually turns to Jack for help, but he believes it’s an inside job and accuses Billy of stealing the money.

However, when a DNA test is done on a half-drunk bottle of beer, the finger swiftly turns to Keegan…

But Keegan insists it wasn’t him and that Mel should look closer to home.

True to form, Mel vigorously defends her son but, when Mel decides to visit Louise to get her side of the story, she gets more than she bargained for when Louise tells her everything…

With Phil breathing down her neck for the money, Mel decides she can’t take the pressure and packs her bags to leave the Square.

But will she actually go through with her plan to leave? Or will something or someone change her mind?
