Martin supports grieving Stacey, hints at Fowler reconciliation

Can they put their troubles behind them?

With Stacey in bits over cousin Kat’s death, she gets some much-needed support from a very unexpected person – estranged husband Martin!

Since Stacey’s ill-advised festive bunk-up with Max Branning, she and Martin have been at each other’s throats.

They’re fighting over the kids, barely speaking, and Stacey’s even got her mysterious cousin Hayley on board to help out.

But none of that seems to matter when Stacey falls apart, and Martin’s there to pick her up. Awww.

As Stacey and Mo try to raise the funds for a proper Slater send-off for Kat, Martin’s there to help with ideas about how to come up with the cash.

But when he pops round to tell Mo his ideas, Stacey’s not impressed to find him in her house and without waiting to hear his explanation, she chucks him out.

Obviously, when she hears what he was there for, Stacey rushes round to apologise to her ex.

He tells her someone needs to be there to support her – and it’s going to be him.

Is this the beginning of a reconciliation between the warring pair? We really hope so!

And Martin’s helpfulness doesn’t end there. When he sees how much Stacey is struggling, he calls her mum Jean to come and help.

Seems like Martin’s being the perfect husband right now.

Can Mr and Mrs Fowler put their troubles behind them and move on together?
