It never rains....

| Updated:

If you’re going through a tough time and you think there’s no light at the end of the tunnel, then tune into EastEnders, because you are guaranteed to feel better about yourself after watching just five minutes of doom and gloom.

And if there’s one unlucky set of folks in Walford who will make you feel better (honestly you’d be spoilt for choice), it’s the Carters.

They’ve been through the wars of late.

Linda has been off looking after her mum who has supposedly had a stroke, while Mick has been having it away with Whitney.

But Linda might not be as innocent as she lets on and appears to have a secret of her of her own.

In a recent episode, her healthy mum said to her: “Have you told Mick?” to which she replied sobbing, “I couldn’t!”

Meanwhile, Whitney is back in the Square and is engaged to Woody, and Mick’s not happy about it.

Oh it’s all too much for us to get our heads around.

Next week, in what’s promised to be a tense and action-packed three-hander, Mick reveals all to Linda about his fling with Whitney. But will she come clean about her secret too?

But there’s more to come to rip the Carter family apart.

Not content on sending them on an emotional rollercoaster, producers have decided to give the family a right royal shake up by having them get involved in a massive motorway pile up!

Pictures have emerged of the EastEnders crew filming scenes in which an ambulance has collided with a lorry and the Carters are seen bloodied and clambering out of the wreckage.

Mick’s son Johnny looks like he has been severely injured and is covered with bloody scratches, while mum Linda is seen desperately trying to escape the overturned ambulance, with Jack Branning not far behind.

Exciting stuff, eh?

“The crash is part of a big upcoming summer storyline and will air in September,” a source has told the Sun.

According to show spies, Linda and Johnny could be left fighting for their lives after the horror smash.

Well, we can’t wait to see how the disaster unfolds.
