Tony O’Callaghan is returning to EastEnders as Ollie Walters it has been revealed.
The actor has played police officer Ollie since 2013 after he met wife Jean Slater while they both tended to their allotments.
And now it has been revealed that he will return, months after Jean made her own comeback to Albert Square.
The soap made the announcement on Twitter, writing: “Tony O’Callaghan will be reprising his role as Ollie Walters when the character makes a brief return to the Square later this month.
“With Jean returning to Walford earlier this year, alone, and avoiding any questions about her marriage, are we about to learn the truth?”

Fans reacted to the news with excitement.
One wrote: “Good news. Shame it’s temporary.”
Another added: “Liked him.. Hope it’s not for a d.I.v.o.r.c.e…”
He was last seen in 2016 when he and Jean decided to leave Walford for a new life in Brighton.
Back then Kat schemed to split Jean and Ollie up, forcing Jean to say goodbye to Ollie when he revealed he was going to move to Brighton.
But when he decided to cancel his move and stay in Walford just so he could be near Jean, she realised he really did love her.

They then decided to move together and have lived happily since then.
It had not been revealed what had happened to Ollie and why Jean had returned to Walford before now.
But now he’s set to return and everything will be explained.
