EastEnders’ Hunter Owen is “vicious”, warns actor Charlie Winter

Watch out Walford!

| Updated:

Actor Charlie Winter has warned EastEnders fans that his character isn’t as nice as his pretty boy looks suggest.

In fact, he’s revealed Hunter Owen has the potential to be pretty nasty indeed…

Soap newbie Charlie has predicted a future backlash from fans, when they realise exactly what Hunter is made of.

Well, we did have a bit of a clue… After all, Hunter IS Steve Owen’s son. Remember him? The philandering murdering one!?

Steve killed old flame Saskia Duncan and framed Matthew Rose for the crime… And there is a popular saying about an apple not falling far from the tree!

So is Hunter going to follow in the villainous footsteps (expensive shoes, no doubt, though) of his late dad?

Charlie tells Inside Soap: “The reaction I’ve had has all been really pleasant so far, but viewers are yet to see what Hunter is capable of – so that might change.

“He can be quite vicious, so I’m interested to hear what the audience will think as time goes on.”

The young actor, who appeared onscreen for the first time in February, also discussed his alter-ego’s relationship with Louise.

Is it genuine, or does he just want revenge on Phil for his role in the death of his father?

He says: “Hunter is a damaged kid and has a bit of a chip on his shoulder. He’s focused on getting back at Phil, but he and Louise have a long history, so there’s definitely chemistry there.

“The trouble is, I don’t think Hunter really knows what he wants from this scenario. He’s kind of in two minds about it.”

An upcoming storyline sees Hunter seduce Louise Mitchell at the club, knowing full well that dad Phil is watching on CCTV.

And with Louise declaring to Bex that she’s ready to sleep with Hunter, it seems like it’s only a matter of time before *it* happens.

Hmmm, hasn’t Hunter got the memo that Phil gives out thumps like breaths?

Good luck Hunter! You’re going to need it!
