Phil Mitchell left viewers totally divided

EastEnders fans had lots to say about last night’s visit to Albert Square – and of course Phil Mitchell was the hot topic of conversation after THAT night club rampage with his baseball bat.

But it wasnt just his hard man antics that got people talking – fans were also obsessed with his seduction scenes with Mel Owen. And not in a good way.

Fans were loving seeing the old Phil back to his best…

But the same can’t be said for the scenes that came later in the episode.

As Mel desperately tried to protect her son by seducing Phil and getting him on camera so that she could blackmail him (can you spot a security camera theme going on here?!) fans were left reaching for the sick bucket as he fell for his ex’s charms…

In fact the reaction to Mel and Phil’s kissing scene was so huge that it got Phil Mitchell trending on Twitter. Hurrah!

EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
