EastEnders fans fear Mick Carter is dead

Dramatic scenes showed a lorry speeding towards him...

BBC viewers were left on the edge of their sofas last night when soap favourite Mick Carter was involved in a potential car accident.

EastEnders fans watched in horror as the pub landlord drove a bleeding Keegan Baker to the hospital after he’d been stabbed.

The episode (Tuesday 22 May) ended dramatically when it looked like Mick’s car was about to collide with a lorry…

The gripping scenes came after both Keegan and Shakil Kazemi were stabbed in the alley by the Queen Vic, as the residents of Walford enjoyed the Royal Wedding celebrations.

Mick – unaware that Shakil was also brutally injured nearby – found Keegan collapsed and rushed to get him to hospital.

Struggling to speak, Keegan was unable to reveal that Shakil had also been attacked.

In the rush to get Keegan to the hospital in time, Mick lost control of his car and skidded in the middle of the road.

Horrified viewers then watched in shock as Mick desperately tried to restart the car as a lorry hurtled in their direction.

The driver seemed preoccupied and unaware that there was a car in its path…

Yikes.

Fans immediately worried that Mick – and an injured Keegan – would both die in a horror smash.

One extremely worried watcher shared her anxiety on Twitter, writing: “EastEnders please please please don’t kill of Mick. I really hope shaks and Keegan survive. hate that I got wait till Thursday so frustrating.”

Another commented: “Are you joking me?? I can’t deal with all these cliff hangers on #EastEnders Mick better not die.”

A third said: “If anything happens to Mick Carter I will cry.”

Meanwhile, harrowing scenes showed dying teen Shakil crying out for help.

Bleeding and in shock, he had begged Mick for help at the door of the Queen Vic – but Mick had the horrible assumption Shakil was drunk and dismissed him.

EastEnders bosses are aiming to raise awareness of knife crime with this week’s storyline, which has been devised with help from the Ben Kinsella Trust.
