EastEnders fans confused by miracle recoveries!

How did they get better so fast?!

EastEnders fans were left reeling after a dramatic week on the Square, and two miracle recoveries that left them wondering if they’d missed an episode – again!

First up was new mum Stacey who was at “death’s door” earlier in the week according to fans, but by Friday’s ep was heading home – without baby Hope, who is still in special care.

Stacey was even feeling well enough to show interfering grandma Carmel exactly what she thought of her – throwing her some classic Stacey shade, and then throwing Carm’s beautiful celebration cake straight in the bin. Burn!

But while fans were pleased to see Mrs Fowler back to her sarky best, over on Twitter they were confused about her super-speedy recovery.

“Actually thought EE had missed an episode out as storyline had moved on so much – rapid recovery times – not true to life,” one fan complained. While another wondered: “How did Stacey recover? I thought she was dying.”

And Stacey wasn’t the only Walford resident to confuse viewers this week. While poor Jane Beale was wrestling with evil Max’s demands, fans were mostly wondering about her amazing new walking ability.

“Jane, who was still using a wheelchair when the fire happened and has just been in a coma for more than a month, is now up and walking round quite easily,” a viewer pointed out.

“How can Jane walk better now than she could before the fire?” asked another.

Another viewer pointed out that this isn’t the first time Enders has brushed over a character’s serious illness.

“Can EastEnders get their recovery times sorted? Like Johnny and his gunshot wound. Ridiculous,” he said.

With Jane leaving an emotional message on Ian’s voicemail to warn him he’s in danger, and baby Hope still in hospital, there are lots of twists and turns still to come in these stories – perhaps we’ll find out more about the miracle recoveries, too!
