Sharing the exciting news with his 96,000 Instagram followers, he said: “Sorry it’s a tad early but…. I am thrilled to announce that I will be taking over the part of Leonard Vole, in Agatha Christies, Witness for the Prosecution.

“Showing at The Old County Hall, South Bank, please come and support me and the rest of the cast.

“We take over from MARCH 27TH UNTIL NOVEMBER 18TH. The show is currently running so if you want to watch the current cast then you still can.”

He added: “Very excited about this opportunity to work with a fantastic script and my on-stage debut.”

His fans jumped at the chance to congratulate him, with one saying: “All the best in the role.”

Another responded: “Congratulations, looking forward to watching already.”

One cheeky conspiracy theorist even replied: “Before your return to EastEnders at Christmas……… Just a rumour.”

Does he know something we don’t know?

Harry’s soap character Ben left Walford at the beginning of the year to start a new life in Calais after trying to steal the heist money.

During his four years on EastEnders, Ben’s storylines included the tragic death of the man he loved, Paul Coker, and the return of his mum Kathy Beale (previously thought deceased).

He was also rescued by Grant Mitchell after being kidnapped.

In his new role as Leonard Vole, he stands accused of murdering a widow in order to inherit her wealth.

Let’s hope Harry’s real life is less dramatic!
