Eamonn Holmes reveals how his Easter holiday ended badly

He was cross about it today

Eamonn Holmes has just been away on holiday with his wife Ruth Langsford but he wasn’t very happy about it when he returned to work today.

Standing in for Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain, the Northern Irish presenter said he was “cross” due to a mishap at the airport when he flew home.

“I’m having to wear Piers Morgan’s suit today, I’ve got no clothes,” he told Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins.

“I was away over Easter for a few days and when I got back late last night into the airport, and you stand there, you know when you get a bit annoyed and you say, ‘Where’s my bag? What’s keeping this bag?

“And then you get a bit more humble and think, ‘Please make it come’, then you pray and then there’s just you and one other person standing there and you say to them, ‘Has yours not arrived either?'”

Kate joked that Piers’ suit did look “baggy” on the 58-year-old, while Charlotte asked if Ruth was also missing any clothes.

“No, it could have been worse, it could have been Mrs Holmes’ bag and then all hell would have kicked off,” he replied.

“She had her seven bags, it’s just mine.”

He added: “Someone out there might be doing very well with my Tanga briefs and my medium sized T-shirts and Hawaiian shirts.”

Hopefully Eamonn managed to relax on his trip as he’s returned to a busy week.

He’ll be co-hosting GMB till Thursday, as well as This Morning with Ruth.

Phil, 56, has been making his Instagram followers envious by sharing holiday snaps of his time in The Maldives with his family.

Let’s hope he gets his suitcase on his return home or he’ll be having to raid Piers’ wardrobe too!
