Danny Dyer ‘finally makes decision’ about EastEnders future

Actor has apparently been stalling

Fans of Mick Carter, you can rest easy as it appears that Danny Dyer will be sticking around Walford for a while longer.

The soap fave’s current contract comes to an end in November.

And there has been endless speculation about whether he would actually renew.

But the Daily Star Sunday claims today that he has signed on the dotted line – for another two years on Albert Square.

The tabloid reports that the 40-year-old met with Easties big cheese John Yorke this week.

He was apparently thrilled with what the exec producer has in store for his character – particularly in the lead-up to this Christmas.

The paper’s insider said: “The last year has been a bit up and down for Danny and his character Mick.

“His on-screen wife Kellie Bright was off on maternity leave for a lot of it, so there was only so much they could do with him.

“But he’s had a meeting with John and is very excited about everything he’s got planned for Mick.

“It’s a slightly different path for his character – there’s going to be bother. It’s all top secret but fans won’t be disappointed, especially as Danny has signed for two years.”

It’s been reported in the past that the some-time movie actor has a £250,000 deal with the BBC soap.
