Corrie star reveals who the ‘naughtiest’ person on set is

Well we never!

Picking the naughtiest Coronation Street character wouldn’t be too tough at the moment, after murdering Andy and framing Anna Windass, we’re pretty sure Pat Phelan would win hands down.

But we’re keeping our eyes closely on Peter Barlow too.

He almost gave in and drank some vodka after finding out Billy Mayhew was (partly) responsible for the accident that killed his twin sister, Susan.

And now his ex-wife, Carla Connor, is back on the cobbles we’re expecting some very naughty behaviour from Peter.

We’re not sure who we’d put our money on being the cheekiest person off-screen however. Colson Smith has a mischievous twinkle in his eye and we bet Lucy Fallon likes a laugh after her harrowing scenes as Bethany Platt earlier this year.

Luckily for us, actress Ellie Leach – who plays Faye Windass – revealed all in a recent interview with Inside Soap magazine.

And according to her, there are two contenders for the Corrie class clown crown (blimey, try saying that when you’ve had a few Bailey’s!) – Mikey North (who plays her brother, Gary) and Joe Duttine (aka Tim Metcalfe.)

Ellie said: “The two of them are a hilarious double act.

“It’s very hard to get scenes done when they’re around.”

Naughty boys.

Ellie also revealed that she’s nothing like her alter-ego in real life and actually took up drama classes because she wasn’t very confident in school.

She said: “I really enjoyed doing it and carried on doing it until I realised ‘This is something I want to do with my life.'”

Ellie’s got some big scenes coming up in the New Year when the truth about Phelan starts to come unravelling.

She was spotted filming on location shortly before Christmas with Connor McIntyre who plays the twisted builder and it looked very much like Faye could possibly be his next victim.

But now Faye knows the truth about Phelan setting her mum, Anna, up – we think she might have something to do with his long-overdue downfall.

Coronation Street continues New Year’s Day at 7.30pm on ITV
