Michelle Connor’s wedding to Robert Preston is left hanging in the balance next week when Mich’s ex-husband Steve McDonald tells her some home truths about her betrothed – before kissing her. WHAT?

During episodes later this week Steve will hear from Michelle’s biological son Ali Neeson that Robert has been taking steroids and even suffered a heart attack which he keeps secret.
A horrified Steve confronts Michelle on the day of her wedding to Robert and tells her what Ali told him, leaving her shell-shocked.
But she’s even more shocked when Steve tells her that she is too good for Robert and then goes in to kiss her! But will she respond?
Steve and Michelle split last year after the former Rovers landlord fathered a baby following a one night stand with Leanne Battersby.
The revelation that Steve was baby Oliver’s real dad came shortly after Michelle lost her little boy Ruairi when she went into labour prematurely.
Despite their history, Steve and Michelle’s marriage couldn’t last through the betrayal and the devastating loss of their baby and they divorced.
Michelle found solace in the arms of bistro owner Robert Preston, while Steve reunited with another of his ex wives, Tracy Barlow – mother of their daughter, Amy.
But Steve has always kept a close eye on Michelle, saving her from twisted stalker Will Chatterton and even giving her a £10k handout when she and Robert hit a financial brick wall after he gambled their money away.
Actually, with it all put down like that, it looks like Steve could have a very good point.
It’s not just Steve that’s causing aggravation for Michelle on her wedding day though. Her recently returned son Ryan sends her into a frenzy when he goes AWOL in the morning.

Robert and Daniel Osbourne manage to track the hungover DJ down to a flat where he spent the night with a woman.
But tempers start to fray when the woman’s husband arrives home and demands to know which of the trio his wife slept with.
Instead of taking it like a man, Ryan immediately points the finger at an astonished Robert instead. Maybe Michelle has a point about this wedding being doomed.
