He’s hopeful that things are looking up at the beginning of the week when Dev mentions his friend has a grotty bedsit to rent.

Sean says he wants it but can’t pay the deposit until he gets paid. Dev says he’ll have a word with his mate and see what he can do.

Meanwhile Sean tells his homeless friend Carol that he was sleeping rough for charity and gives her his tent.

He then gets his wages from Toyah and heads to find Dev but is disappointed when the shopkeeper tells him he’s too late and the bedsit has already gone.

A downhearted Sean heads back to find Carol and tries to get his tent back from her.

He’s offended when she reels off a list of hostels Sean could spend the night in and he angrily waves his cash in her face.

It’s a move he’ll live to regret when later he’s violently attacked in the public loos by two men and the money is stolen from him.

Carol finds Sean slumped and bloody in the toilets and convinces him he needs to get to A&E to get himself checked over.

When he speaks to the doctors, he’s forced to admit that he’s homeless.

Things get even worse as he and Carol head back to the rec where he finds all of his belongings have been stolen too.

Carol introduces him to another part of the park where there is a homeless encampment and Sean wonders how his life has come to this.

Earlier this month fans were saddened to see Sean resort to begging for work after losing his ‘high-flying’ city job.

Thinking he will easily be able to land a new job and rent somewhere new, he sets about asking around Weatherfield for work.

But as he’s knocked back repeatedly he is practically begs Yasmeen Nazir for a job in Speed Daal.

“I think I’ll just be more happy in a people facing role,” he tells her trying to hide his desperation.

But when Yasmeen reveals she has already solved her staff problem, Sean is left literally begging.

“I’ve called an agency,” she replies.

“I’ve contracted a couple of very experienced waiters and they start tonight.”

Desperate Sean then offers to work for half the rate she would be paying the agency staff.

He says: “Whatever you’re paying them, I’ll do it for half.”

Sadly Yasmeen has to knock him back leaving Sean trying to cover his devastation as he leaves the restaurant.

Recent spoilers revealed how Sean will be left living in a tent after being kicked out of Fiz’s and not being able to find work.
