Corrie SPOILER: Eva walks out of Aidan’s funeral

The Connors say a sad goodbye to him

Emotions are running high in the Connor family as Aidan’s funeral approaches, and no one is more on edge than grieving dad, Johnny.

When Jenny accidentally spills coffee on the suit Johnny has picked out for Aidan’s burial, Johnny can’t contain his anger and tells her she isn’t welcome at the chapel of rest.

Johnny is cross that Carla and Kate have kept something so huge from him, but he takes his anger out on Jenny, telling her not to bother coming to the funeral because she isn’t wanted there.

Drinking to get through his pain, Johnny then ends up finding a shoulder to cry on at Liz’s flat, and it isn’t long before the pair are kissing passionately.

As the day of the funeral arrives, Johnny is wracked with guilt and tells Jenny she is of course welcome at his son’s funeral.

But as Johnny delivers a heartfelt eulogy during the service, it isn’t just the Connors who are struggling to hold it together.

But while he is contemplating how he is going to cope without his boy by his side Jenny approaches, only to be given her marching orders.

Jenny is devastated, but little does she know Johnny is finding comfort in Liz’s arms once again.

How will Liz react when Johnny tells her that he can’t even bear to be in the same room as Jenny and that it is actually her he loves, not Jenny?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
