Eileen Grimshaw returns to the cobbles next week and is stunned to find that Abi Franklin has been living in her house while she’s been away.
She walks into No.11 and is met with quite the sight as Abi, Seb and Steve McDonald are all trying to tidy the place up before she gets back.
Eileen is furious that Abi’s been staying there without her permission, but she’s even more shocked when she finds out that Steve is engaged to Tracy!
She decides that she needs to save him from himself and comes up with a devious plan.
When Steve begs her not to throw Abi and Seb out of the house, she tells him that they can stay on one condition – he needs to call off his engagement to Tracy.
How will Steve react to being blackmailed by one of his oldest friends?
Later, Eileen ropes in Dev to stage an intervention and stop the wedding from going ahead.
They take Steve to the Bistro and both tell him that if he marries Tracy – again – he’ll be making the biggest mistake of his life.
But will he listen?
Unfortunately Tracy walks into the Bistro and hears Eileen and Dev ripping her to pieces.
She’s devastated to realise that Steve’s friends are trying to break them up. But will it work?
Steve proposed to Tracy kind of by accident last month after she accused him of only being with her to make their daughter Amy happy.
Tracy was delighted to be given the chance to be Mrs McDonald again and accepted, while Steve was left wondering what he’d done.
Tracy and Steve were first married in 2012 but the marriage lasted a matter of minutes as his ex-wife Becky McDonald revealed that Tracy had been lying to Steve about the twins she miscarried.
Tracy was expecting Steve’s babies but sadly lost them. During an argument with Becky, Tracy fell down the stairs and she blamed Becky for pushing her and causing the miscarriage.
As Steve and Tracy celebrated their nuptials in the Rovers, Becky made her entrance and provided proof that Tracy had been lying about the miscarriage.
Steve was left gobsmacked as Becky flounced off to start a new life in Barbados with her new boyfriend.
Despite their history, Steve and Tracy reunited at Christmas following the breakdown of Steve’s marriage to Michelle Connor.
